Mr. Earl Wilson, 76, of Rt. 1, Ellaville, died Wednesday, February 11, 1998 at 
home.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 13, 1998, at the 
Ebenezer Baptist Church in Schley County with Rev. Robert Orr officiating.  
Burial followed in the Ellaville Cemetery.

Mr. Wilson, a Schley County native, was born February 5, 1922 to William Edgar 
Wilson and Claudia Johnson Wilson.  He was a member of Ebenezer Baptist 
Church, a U.S. Army WW II veteran, a member of the American Legion Post 191 in 
Ellaville, a member of the Disabled American Veterans, an Optimist and a 
retired builder.  He had lived in Fayetteville fifteen years before moving 
back to Schley County twelve years ago.

Pallbearers were Jason kelly, Jeremy kelly, Brian Wilson, Troy Wilson, Larry 
Myrick and Randall Smith.

The family greeted friends Thursday, February 12, 1998 at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife, Ella Mae Shirah Wilson of Ellaville; one 
daughter:  Sandra Turley of Sharpsburg; three sons; Lamar and Jimmy Wilson of 
Ellaville and Wayne Wilson of Griffin; three sisters; Mrs. Mary Germany of 
Columbus, Mrs. Nanell Gooding of Macon, and Mrs. Sarah Adams of Thomaston; two 
brothers; William E. (Shorty) Wilson of Savannah and Sandord Wilson of 
Decatur; ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Giddens Funeral Home in Ellaville was in charge of arrangements.
