Mr. Roy B. Yarbrough, 71, of Rt.1, Ellaville, died Saturday, February 7, 1998 
at St. Francis Hospital, Columbus.

Funeral services was Monday February 9, 1998 at 3:00 p.m. at the Ebenezer 
Baptist Church, with the Revs. Robert Orr and Troy Fripp officiating.  Burial 
was in the church cemetery.

Born to Bert and Vera Taylor Yarbrough on April 13, 1926, in Tuskegee, AL.  
Mr. Yarbrough lived in Schley County for 55 years, was retired from King's 
Custom Builders, Ellaville, as a carpenter, had worked with Champion Home 
Builders, Ellaville, was a member of the Ellaville American Legion, was a 
member of the Ebenezer Baptist Church, Ellaville.  Mr. Yarbrough also was a 
U.S. Marine Veteran of World War II, having received a Purple Heart.  He was 
preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Yarbrough, on January 26, 1998.

Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Elaine Ray, Roselle, Ill., Mrs. Daniel 
Fowler, Oglethorpe, Ga., Mrs. Peggy Barfield, Oglrthorpe, Ga. and Mrs. Vera 
Williamson, Fairbanks, Alaska; one son, Roy B. Yarbrough, Jr., Ellaville, Ga.; 
seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will include Jack Kearby, Ronnie Stuckey, Ricky Belcher, Greg 
Brown, Charles Kirby and Lancy Fripp.

Honorary pallbearers will include Clyde Grimsley, Fred Renfroe, Sr., Pat 
Taylor, Benny Chapman and Buddy Thornton.

Mr. Yarbrough's body was viewed at Giddens Funeral Home in Ellaville on 
Sunday, Feb. 8, 1998.

Giddens Funeral Home of Ellaville was in charge of arrangements.
