At the time my Dad, S. A. Manning, had these labels printed, I believe he was operating a farm for a Mr. Sparks. The farm was located in Sumter County about where "Dead Man's Curve" is; and my Brothers Bill and Edwin, I believe, were born there, on land subsequently owned by the Duck family. Avelyn Duck was much later a teacher at Ellaville Elementary School. Norman Etheredge Manning Oldest brother, Bill, dated the can covers 1917. I taught Charlotte (Dorsey) Cotton, whose mother was a Sparks. Daddy was the "overseer" for Sparks Farms before he moved the family to Ellaville. Louise (Duck) Jordan, Avalyn's sister, taught me in the 5th grade. I think Avalyn taught 1st grade.
