Jasper Newton Woodall & Miranda Allen Stephens Woodall.

This portrait turned up in mid-Canada about a year ago and a relative of the 
owner wrote me about who these folks were.  It seems her daughter was given 
this portrait as a gift.

Jasper Newton and Miranda Woodall left Schley County about 1881-3 as many 
others did headed for a new frontier where land was plentiful, rich and cheap 
and the opportunities were great.

This portrait was no doubt made in their later years in Kissimmee, FL about 
1905 (?).  Their names are written on the back of the portrait and the artist 
is identified as Sue Cooper.  

I would love to hear from anyone who might be able to make the connection 
between the Woodalls and Sue Cooper.  I have sure spent a lot of time trying.
