From the "History of Schley County." "On March 5, 1916, Dr. T.W. Wilson purchased the drug store and it became known as Wilson Drug Company. For the next 45 years, Dr. Wilson operated the store, located next to the Bank of Ellaville. In 1961, the drug store was sold to Paul Gill and became Gill Drug Company. Dr. Wilson was originally from Taylor County. Her served as mayor for several years and was a prominent civic leader."
