Peters personal photo Photo can be seen at: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ga/schley/photos/ph2335ellavill.jpg Image file size: 216.3 Kb The wagon carrying the cotton bales has two persons on it. The second person is very difficult to see, but if you study hard there is evidence of a second person. One of the people on the wagon is John Jackson Owen. The building in the background is supposed to be located on the east side of the park in front of the courthouse. I'm told there were only two buildings in that location that were two story. One being what is now the Watson-Giddens Funeral home and the other is no longer there. It was the Points West Hotel. Sure would like to identify the building and any of the spectators. Additional Comments: J.J. Owens is buried at Ebenezer and he died June 3, 1926 at the age of 94. Can anyone tell us more about this photo? It looks as though it might have been a hotel from all the chairs on the the balcony.
