The Schley County News Thursday, September 26th 1895 
HAPPILY MARRIED
Married at the residence of the bride's parents in Phenix City, Mr. Thos. 
Jones, of Schley county and Miss Gerty (Jettie) Barnes. The ceremony was 
performed by Rev. R.A. Torten, only the family and a few friends witnessed the 
ceremony. The happy couple will leave Monday for Schley county, their future 
home, followed by the best wishes of their host of friends.--Columbus Ledger.

Mr. Jones and bride arrived Monday on the noon train from Columbus and were 
met by friends and driven to their home near Poindexter.
