WALL AT LOVELY CEREMONY Miss Eunice Ellis Brown, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Erwin Adams Brown, of Birmingham, Alabama and Mr. Charles Crisp Wall, Jr., of Ellaville, were married Saturday evening, October 18, at 5:30 p.m. at a beautiful ceremony in Mount Vernon Methodist church, Birmingham, Alabama. Standards of white chrysanthemums against a background of Souther Smilax and areca palms interspersed with wrought iron candelabra formed the setting for the marriage. The white satin prie dieu was marked with white urns filled with Madonna lilies, white larkspur and Turner chrysanthemums. Dr. W.M. Harris officiated at the ceremony before a large assemblage of family and friends. Valeria Joyce Carroll, Birmingham, and E.A. Ellis, Jr., Trenton, Ga., lighted the candles. A program of nuptial music was presented by Miss Ellan Glasgow, church organist, and Miss Marjorie Mauney and Mr. James Overton, vocalist. Miss Edna Brown attended her twin sister as maid of honor and Mrs. Eugene Rushing, another sister, was matron of honor. They were gowned in heather blue French taffeta gowns made with long shirred bodices. The dresses were made with sweetheart necklines, short puffed sleeves and full skirts which fell into short trains. They carried cascade bouquets of golden beauty roses. The bridesmaid group included Misses Carolyn Matthews, Wilma Yates, Margaret Harris and Catherine Worthington, all of Birmingham. The bridesmaids were gowned in petal pink of the same model as that worn by the maid and matron. They carried cascade bouquets of pink delight roses. The bride entered on the arm of her brother, Erwin A. Brown, Jr., who gave her in marriage. Her gown of white slipper satin was designed with a sweetheart neckline and long sleeves that ended with points over the hands. The fitted bodice was fastened down the back with tiny self covered buttons and the skirt fell into a long trian. A tiara of orange blossoms caught the full length veil of illusion which was adorned with French loveknots. The bride carried a prayer book topped with Belmont gardenias showered with white satin and bouvardia. Erwin A. Brown, III, was ring bearer. Charles C. Brown, Sr., attended his son as best man. Ushers were Charles W. Ellis, Jr., Memphis; Richard H. Brown, Jr., cousins of the bride; J.H. Hamill, Jr., and George Harper. For the marriage of her daughter, Mrs. Brown chose a gown of black chiffon trimmed with black lace. Her corsage was of yellow rosebuds. Mrs. Charles C. Wall, mother of the bridegroom, wore a gown of black crepe trimmed with black lace. Her flowers were pink rosebuds. After the ceremony, Mr. and Mrs. Brown entertained at a reception at their home on Walnut Hill Circle. The bride's table was covered with a white lace cloth, and centered with a three-tiered wedding cake embossed with roses. Crystal candelabra holding burning white tapers, flanked the cake. Assisting Mrs. Brown in serving were Mrs. L.H. Strength, Ellaville; Mesdames E.A. Brown, Jr., H.L. Brown, J.C. Murray and R.H. Brown. Mrs. E.A. Ellis, Trenton, Ga., kept the bride's book. Later in the evening, Mr. Wall and his bride left for a wedding trip after which they will reside in Ellaville. For traveling, Mrs. Wall chose a costume suit of pine green with the torso length jacket of shadow plaid with British tan accessories, and her flowers were gardenias. Among the out of town guests were Mr. and Mrs. L.H. Strength, Mrs. L.S. Tondee, Mrs. O.T. King, and Ed King, all of Ellaville.
