MISS DEVANE AND SGT SPENCE OF BENNING ARE WED
Mr. and Mrs. A.L. DeVane annnounce the marriage of their daughter Mary to 
Staff Sgt. Walter D. Spence, of Fort Benning, and Winder on January 4, in 
Phenix City, with Judge C.B. Gullatt, Jr., officiating.  The lovely bride wore 
a teal blue dress and used tan accessories.  Her coursage was of white 
camellias.  Mrs. Spence is a 1941 graduate of the Schley county high school.  
For the past few months she has been employed at Columbus.  Sgt Spence is the 
son of Mr. and Mrs. A.H. Spence of Winder.  He is a graduate of the Winder 
high school and is now stationed at Fort Benning with the field artillery.  
The couple are making their home at 637 24th street in Columbus.
