BRIDGES, JR. Mr. and Mrs. J.E. Dillard announce the marriage of their daughter to Mr. J.R. Bridges, Jr., only son of Mr. and Mrs. J.R. Bridges, Sr., Saturday afternoon, December 24, at five o'clock. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. R.C. Howard at his home with only the bride's sister and her husband present. The bride, a brunette, is the fourth daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dillard. She was a member of the 1937 graduating class of Schley County High School. Her sisters are Mrs. Johnnie Grant, Phoenix City, Ala., Mrs. Irvin Tidd, Mrs. Kermith Greene and little Miss Betty Jean Dillard of Schley county and her brothers are Marcus, Harold and Vernon Dillard also of Schley county. Mr. Bridges' sisters are Mrs. Render Garwell, Atlanta, Mrs. Jack Arnold, Jacksonville, and Mrs. W.D. Barwick of Schley county. The bride chose for her wedding day the 26th wedding anniversary of her parents. She wore a dress of wine colored velvet with black accessories. The groom is engaged in farming with his father where the young couple will be at home for the present.
