The ceremony was solemnized at eight o'clock Friday evening at the home of Dr. Gresham(?) pastor of the Moultrie Baptist church, and was witnessed by an assemblage of relatives and friends. The bride was lovely wearing a mustard(?) green dress which featured a girdle of many colors. She wore an off the face black hat with a veil and other black accessories. Her shoulder corsage was of orchids. Mrs. Lightner is a graduate of Moultrie high school and completed her college education in Virginia. The groom is the youngest son of Mrs. Bessie Lou Lightner and the late Dr. Joe Lightner. He is a graduate of Schley county high school, Gordon Military Institute and completed his college education at the University of Georgia. After a wedding trip to Florida, the couple will reside in Douglas where Mr. Lightner is located as a supervisor with the Farm Security Administration.
