MISS ADDELE ETHEREDGE AND MR. EDWIN JONES, JR. MARRY
Cordial interest centers in the marriage of Miss Adele Etheredge, daughter of 
Mr. and Mrs. S.M. Etheredge of Schley county, to Mr. Edwin Thompson Jones, 
Jr., at noon Saturday, February 6.  The ring ceremony was performed at the 
First Methodist church parsonage in Americus by the Rev. Mack Anthony in the 
presence of the immediate families and several friends.  The attractive titian-
haired bride was lovely in a costume of dusty blue crepe with black 
accessories.  She wore as her only ornament a cameo locket, gift from the 
bridegroom.  Her corsage was of Talisman roses.  The couple left for a trip to 
Florida and upon returning will make their home with his parents.  A twin 
sister of Mrs. Oscar Lurwig of Americus, the bride also is the sister of 
Misses Avolene and Mauree Etheredge and Mr. Enwood Etheredge, all of Macon.  
She was graduated from Ellaville high school, Georgia South western college 
and Americus Business college.  She is secretary to the law firm of Dykes, 
Bowers and Dykes.  Mr. Jones is the son of Mr. and Mrs. E.T. Jones, Sr.  Miss 
Jane Jones is his sister and Mr. R.H. Jones is his brother.  A graduate of 
Americus high school, he is Americus agent for Georgia Motor Express company.
