RAYMOND LURWIG Centering widespread interest is the announcement of the marriage of Miss Margaret Estelle Etheredge of Americus and Ellaville to Mr. Oscar Lurwig of Americus. The ceremony was quietly solemnized Tuesday night, January 30 at the Lee Street Methodist parsonage with the pastor, the Rev. J.A. Rountree reading the vows before relatives and a few friends. The bride wore a lovely blue wool dress accented by touches of angora with black accessories completing her costume. Mrs. Lurwig is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.. S.M. Etheredge of the Concord community. She is the sister of Misses Avolene and Adele Etheredge of Americus, Miss Mauree Etheredge and W.E. Etheredge of Macon. The bride is a graduate of Schley county high school, Georgia Southwestern college and Americus Business college. For the past four years she has lived in Americus and has been employed by Sheffield Company the past year. Mr. Lurwig is the son of Mr. and Mrs. L.F. Lurwig of Lillian, Ala. He is a graduate of Foley High School, Foley, Ala., and of Alabama Polytechnic Institute, Auburn, Ala. He is now employed as an electrical engineer for the Georgia Power Company. The couple left during the evening for a short wedding trip and upon their return will reside in Americus.
