TOMBERLIN Prominent among the weddings of the holiday season was that of Miss Sarah Belle Harden, of Washington, D.C., to Sergeant George Elmer Tomberlin, of Atlanta and Camp Forrest, Tenn. Dr. William V. Gardner`read the vows at 5 o'clock Monday afternoon at the First Presbyterian church in Atlanta, with an assemblage of friends and relatives present. The lovely bride wore a model of gold crepe trimmed in brown velvet with matching accessories. A shoulder corsage of bronze orchids adorned her costume. Mrs. Tomberlin is the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Edward Harden of Ellaville. She is a graduate of Schley county high school, Georgia Southwestern College, Americus, and completed her education at the Draughon School of Commerce, Atlanta. For the past several years she has been secretary to Mr. Charles F. Palmer, Coordinator of Defense Housing, Washingon, D.C. Mr. Tomberlin is the son of Mr. and Mrs. W.W. Tomberlin, of Sumner. He is a graduate of the Sylvester high school and completed his education at the University of Georgia Evening School and the John Marshall Law School, Atlanta. Prior to serving as Staff Sergeant in the Twelfth Station Hospital Division of the U.S. Army at Camp Forrest, Tenn., he was connected with the Citizens and Southern National Bank in Atlanta.
