RUCKER WED Ellaville, Ga.-----Miss Jimmie Sue Hart became the bride of Pfc. Duane Roland Rucker, of Fort Benning and Orange, California, in impressive rites at the residence of the bride's mother, Mrs. Endine Hart, Sunday afternoon at 5 o'clock. The Rev. E.M. Palmer performed the double ring ceremony. The entertaining rooms were beautiful in traditional decorations of green and white. An improvised altar was formed at one end of the living room by a massive arrangement of pine. Two white pedestal baskets of white gladioli were flanked by seven branched candelabra holding white tapers entwined with smilax. Arrangements of snapdragons, daisies and gladioli were arranged throughout the home. Preceding the ceremony, Mrs. Bessie Lindsey, pianist, rendered nuptial music. Mrs. E.J. Arnold III, of Savannah, sang "O Promise Me." Mrs. Lindsay was attired in blue paper taffeta print; Mrs. Arnold in navy sheer and each wore corsages of white carnations. The candles were lighted by George Hull, of Camp Gordon, Ga. and Orange Calif., and George Nichols, of Fort Benning, Ga. and Chicago, Ill. The lovely bride entered on the arm of her uncle, J.T. Murray, who gave her in marriage. She wore an original model of yellow and white checked gingham with a coat of white Wamsutta cotton serge lined in matching gingham. Her small hat was made of daisies. A yellow throated white orchid and white accessories completed her bridal costume. Immediately following the ceremony, the bride's mother, entertained with a lovely reception. The guests were invited to the porch where the table was overlaid in white linen cutwork and the punch bowl was placed in an arrangement of magnolia leaves and blossoms. Miss Donis Cobb, of Atlanta, wearing brown chiffon, served punch. Misses Martha Jane Manning, Alberta Morrison and Geida Murray served individual iced cakes. Miss Manning was dressed in grey organdy, Miss Morrison in white linen and Miss Murry in white pique. Mrs. Hart, mother of the bride, was gowned in brown silk shantung, with which she wore beige accessories and a green orchid. Mrs. Horace Everett Rucker, of Orange, California, and mother of the groom, was attired in navy lace with which she wore a bronze orchid. Mrs. D.R. Murray, of Macon, grand mother of the bride, was dressed in grey chiffon with which she wore a corsage of pink rosebuds. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Hart and the late Mr. James H. Hart, an outstanding Schley County citizen. Her only sister is Harriett Hart. She is a graduate of Schley County High School, Georgia Southwestern College and attended Mercer University in Macon. At present she is employed by the Southern Bell Telephone Company in Columbus. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Horace Everett Rucker of Orange, Calif. His only brother is Ray Rucker, of Orange, Calif. He is a graduate of Fullerton Junior College and attended California State Polytechnic College before entering the Army where he is now stationed at Fort Benning.
