MISS MARTHA JOHNSON BRIDE OF MR. ARRINGTON
Miss Martha Johnson of Americus, formerly of Schley county, and Mayes 
Arrington of Americus were married in Leesburg Friday, January 24.  Miss 
Margaret Williams and Finnis Allmon, friends of the couple, accompanied them.  
The bride wore an attractive dress of blue crepe with black accessories.  Her 
corsage was of pink rosebuds and valley lilies.  The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. 
P.H. Johnson, of Americus, formerly of Schley county, she was graduated from 
Americus high school in 1940 and has been employed by S.H. Kress Company.  Mr. 
Arrington is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joel Arrington, of Americus.  He is also 
a graduate of Americus high school and is connected with Manhattan Shirt 
Company there.
