MISS KNOWEL AND MR. BATTLE WED
Miss Frances Knowel, of Preston, became the bride of Mr. Cullen Battle, of 
Ellaville, last Thursday night at the home of Elder H.S. McCorkle here, with 
Elder McCorkle officiating.  The bride, an attractive blonde, wore a navy blue 
costume.  Her corsage was of carnations.  The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lige 
Knowel of Preston, Mrs. Battle was graduated from Preston high school and has 
been working in Americus.  Mr. Battle is the son of Mr. and Mrs. R.E. Battle 
of Ebenezer community, and received his education at Schley county high 
school.  The couple are making their home with Mrs. Mollie Autry here.
