FRANK HATCHER Widespread interest centers in the marriage of Miss Carolyn Mauree Lawhorn, of Americus, formerly of Schley county, to Mr. Frank Eugene Hatcher, of Atlanta and Americus, which was solemnized Sunday afternoon, August 24, at 4:30 o'clock in Leesburg. Mr. R.C. Harris, Ordinary of Lee county, officiated in the presence of several friends. The pretty bride, a titian type blonde, was lovely in a fall model of black sheer, styled along the princess lines, and accented by white pique appliqué trim. Her hat was a black and white off-the- face model and her other accessories were black and white. She wore an orchid and carried a small Bible. Mrs. Hatcher is the daughter of Mrs. Mary Wyl Lawhorn of Jacksonville and Ellaville, and the late Fred D. Lawhorn. She was graduated by Schley county high school and attended Americus Business College. She has been working in Americus since that time. Her sisters are Mrs. Frank Zeigler, of Thomasville, and Mrs. James Dixon, of Jacksonville. Hoyt Lawhorn, of Waycross, is her only brother. Mr. Hatcher is employed by the E. Jack Smith Construction Company and is superintendent of the Americus plant. The couple took a trip to Savannah and Florida, and now are residing in Americus.
