Charles Pilcher, United States Army, of Ellaville in a double ring ceremony at 4 o'clock Sunday afternoon, December 13, in a private room on the mezzanene floor of the Albert Pike Hotel in Little Rock. Word of the event was received by relatives here this week. The Rev. T.L. Keany officiated in the presence of a small gathering of friends and relatives. Candelabra holding lighted cathedral tapers formed the background of the improvised altar. The altar was banked with palm and white chrysanthemums. Traditional wedding marches were played and during the ceremony "Liebestraume" and "I Love You Truly" were played. The bride who was given away in marriage by her father, wore a winter white model of sheer wool with gold trimmings, hat and gloves to match. Her corsage was of chartruese orchids. A reception followed in the lobby of the mezzanine. The bride is a graduate of Fort Smith high school and attended St. Anne's Academy, Fort Smith, and Christian College, Columbia, Mo. She is a member of Delta Theta Chi Sorority. Since coming to Little Rock she has been employed in the Office of Price Administration. A graduate of Schley county high high school, Cpl. Pilcher is the son of Mr. Charles Pilcher and the late Mrs. Pilcher. Among the out-of-town relatives and friends attending the ceremony were Capt. A.C. Kimble of Ellaville. Immediately after the ceremony the couple left for a short trip.
