SENN-PAYNE MARRIAGE
A marriage that will be read with much interest by her many Schley county
friends us that of Mrs. M.M. Payne who formerly resided near Midway, but
now of Dawson.  The following is clipped from The Dawson News of February
8th:  "On Thursday afternoon, at 3:30 o'clock, at the home of Mr. J.H.
Fulford, brother of the bride, Mr. John H. Senn and Mrs. M.M. Payne were
united in marriage.  Rev. M.B.L. Binion performed the ceremony.  After the
ceremony and a social half hour, the bridal party went to the home of Mr.
Senn, a few miles from Dawson, where six o'clock dinner was served.  Mrs.
Senn found a warm welcome to her new home which bespoke comfort and breathed
the true spirit of old-time southern hospitality.  Covers were laid for
about fifty guests.  The magnificent spread and also the social feature of
the evening were thoroughly enjoyed.  The bride is well known in Dawson, and
has by her real worth and gracious manner won many admiring friends.  Mr.
Senn is a highly esteemed citizen, and is one of Terrell county's most
successful farmers.  Mr. and Mrs. Senn have the congratulations and best
wishes of all who know them."

(Transcriber's note:  M.M. Fulford married George Washington Payne in Schley
county 11 Feb 1894.  He is buried at Mt. Vernon cemetery, date of death on
marker is 2 Nov 1896.  Mallie Payne, widow. is found on the 1910 Terrell Co.
census in Dawson, age 34, living with her brother James Fulford & family.)
