Rainey announce the marriage of their daughter Frances, to Fred Louis Payne of Ideal, the ceremony having been performed Saturday, Dec. 31, at the home of the Rev. Carl Ayers, pastor of White Water Baptist church. The bride was attractive in a printed silk dress with which she wore matching black accessories. Mrs. Payne is the oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C.T. Rainey, prominent residents of Ellaville. She is the sister of Miss Virginia Rainey, who is a member of the Naylor high school faculty, and little Tommie Rainey. Mrs. Payne was first honor graduate of Ellaville high school. She was graduated with honors from Bessie Tift college at Forsyth and later attended summer school at the University of Georgia, Athens. For the past three and a half years she has been a member of the Ideal high school faculty and will continue her work through the spring term. Mr. Payne is the son of Mrs. T.E. Fowler and the late Tom Payne of Ideal. He is the brother of Miss Eldah Payne of the Ideal high school faculty; James Payne of Tallahassee, Fla., and T.E. Fowler, Jr. of North Carolina. He is an efficient and valued employee of J.W. Nelson. Mr. and Mrs. Payne will make their home with Mrs. T.E. Fowler in Ideal.
