MISS MATTIE LEE RIGSBY IS BRIDE OF MR. J.L. CARSWELL
Widespread interest centers in the marriage of Miss Mattie Lee Rigsby to Mr. 
J.L. Carswell, which was solemnized Saturday afternoon at 1 o'clock at the 
home of Rev. L.D. Shippey, in New Era community of Sumter county with Rev. Mr. 
Shippey officiating.  The bride was lovely in a dress of navy blue sheer 
crepe, featuring an insertion of white lace in the neckline, and similar 
trimmings on the sleeves.  She wore a navy blue halo hat with white trimmings 
and her accessories were navy blue and white.  The bride is chief operator of 
Georgia Continental Telephone Company here, and Mr. Carswell is county 
warden.  The couple returned Wednesday from a trip to points in Florida.
