Miss Sears is one of our most highly accomplished young ladies, while Dr. Rainey holds the greatest esteem of the entire county. After September 1st they will reside in Atlanta. The Schley County News Friday, August 4, 1911 SEARS-RAINEY Possibly no wedding has ever occurred in Ellaville that was of more genuine interest than that of Miss Imogene Sears and Dr. Boyce Tucker Rainey, which was solemnized at the home of the bride's parents on last Wednesday evening at eight o'clock. To the tender strains of Mendelssohn's wedding march, played by Mrs. J.S. Lightner, the bride and groom marched up the hall. In the doorway of the parlor 'neath a bower of evergreen and wild smilax they stood, while the Rev. W.T. Culberson repeated the beautiful ceremony that made them man and wife. Congratulations were next in order, and many were the good wishes showered on this happy young couple, who have started life under such bright auspices. In the sitting room the bridal presents were displayed, and the vast array of cut glass, silver and china displayed, was but another proof of the popularity of this happy couple. The parlor was beautiful in its decorations of pink and white, tall vases of cut flowers being used with telling effect on the piano, mantels, etc. The long front verandas were lighted with Japanese lanterns that made the whole surroundings present a most entrancing scene. In the reception hall, punch was served by Misses Ruth Sears and Carter Harvey. The punch bowl was placed on a most attractive pedestal of green foliage and white flowers. In the delicious refreshments served, the color scheme of pink and green was carried out. The bride was most becomingly attired in white satin with pearl trimmings. She wore a bridal veil, held in place by a wreath of orange blossoms and carried a beautiful bouquet of white carnations and asparagus fern, and beautiful indeed did she look on this, her wedding night. Mrs. W.D. Sears, mother of the bride, wore a pin striped silk, trimmed in soft lace. Mrs. J.S. Lightner was attired in a white lingerie dress, lace trimmed, that was most becoming to her brunette type of beauty. Mrs. C.O. Rainey, a June bride, was arrayed in her wedding gown of white satin made entrain, and most queenly in appearance did she look. Mrs. W.M. Rainey wore a becoming dress of pink silk, lace trimmed. Mrs. J.T. Lightner, was attired in a lovely white silk with trimmings of pearl passamenterie. Mrs. T.B. Rainey was attired in tan silk. Mrs. W.F. Culberson made a handsome appearance in a dress of yellow marquisette, trimmed with bands of silk velvet. The refreshments were served by six of the bride's most intimate young lady friends, Misses Irene Murray, Lucile Lindsay, Beryl Jones, Annie Mae Stewart, Flossie Eason and Ruth Wall.
