SINGLETARY AND W.J. PAYNE WED A wedding of much interest occurred at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Rel Autry, at LaCrosse, Tuesday afternoon, the contracting parties being Mrs. Angy Singletary, widow of the late H.H. Singletary and Mr. W. Payne, now of Americus, but originally of this county. Both Mr. and Mrs. Payne have many warm friends and relatives in this county that will ever wish them a most happy future. The ceremony was performed in the presence of a few invited relatives and friends of the bride and groom. They will make their home at Americus in the future, where Mr. Payne holds a responsible position with the Sheffield Hunnington & Co., of that place. Additional Comments: Mrs. Angy Singletary Payne was born Angie Autry. She married Henry H. Singletary 22 Jan 1878 in Schley Co. William J. Payne had been previously married as well. His first wife was Ella Morrison. They were married 4 Feb 1883 in Schley Co. All are buried at Ellaville cemetery.
