FOY RANDALL, JR. Of widespread interest is the announcement of the marriage of Miss Martha Nelle Snipes of Ellaville and Lyons and Mr. Foy Clifford Randall, Jr., of Lyons. The service took place Sunday afternoon at three o'clock at the home of the bride's parents, and was witnessed by an assemblage of friends and relatives. A lovely improvised altar was formed in the living room of palms, ferns and Southern smilax between pedestal baskets of yellow and lavender autumn flowers. The bride and groom were unattended and were met at the altar by the Rev. E.M. Palmer who read the marriage vows. Prior to the ceremony the groom's sister, Miss Louise Randall of Bessie Tift College accompanied by Mrs. C.T. Rainey, presented a program of nuptial music. The lovely bride wore a brown traveling suit with muskrat fur forming the lapels. She wore a corsage of talisman roses. Brown alligator accessories completed her costume. Immediately following the ceremony, Mr. and Mrs. D.A. Snipes entertained with an informal reception. In the dining room the table was overlaid with a hand- made lace cloth, a gift to the bride from her grandmother, and was centered with a lovely three-tiered wedding cake. Miss Emily Snipes, Miss Eugenia Snipes and Miss Winifred Snipes served punch and sandwiches. Mrs. Randall is the elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D.A. Snipes. She is a graduate of Georgia Southwestern College, Americus, and later received her B.A. degree from G.S.C.W., Milledgeville. She has been employed as secretary to T. Ross Sharpe and A.R. Kicklighter, Jr. Mr. Randall is the eldest son of Dr. and Mrs. F.C. Randall, Sr. He is a graduate of Lyons High School and later attended Alabama Polytechnic Institute, Auburn, Ala., where he studied Veterinary medicine. He is a member of the Junior American Veterinary Medical Association. After a wedding trip to the mountains of North Carolina, Tennessee and Kentucky, the couple will reside in Lyons where the groom is associated with his father in practicing veterinary medicine in Toombs and surrounding counties.
