JOHN POWELL Of unusual interest to a large circle of friends was the marriage of Miss Martha Strange to Mr. John Albert Powell, of Leesburg and Albany, which took place Sunday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs.. Robert H. Strange. The Rev. Roy J. Bond officiated in the presence of the immediate families. Tall floor buckets holding dahlias were placed on either side of the mantle, which was banked in clematis. The bride was lovely in an olive green costume suit with brown accessories. Her corsage was of tube roses. Present were: Mr. and Mrs. Strange, Miss Juliette Strange, Mrs. S.J. Powell, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Powell, all of Leesburg; Mr. and Mrs.. Ross Powell, of Atlanta, and Miss Willye Powell, of Atlanta, and Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Tuggle of Perry. Following the ceremony a buffet luncheon was served by Misses Juliette Strange and Hazel Rigsby. Mr. and Mrs. Powell left by train on a wedding trip after which they will reside in Leesburg.
