THORNROSE Miss Lillian Leslie Tondee, of Ellaville, became the bride of Tech Sgt. Howard Thornrose, of Fort Benning, Thursday afternoon at 1 o'clock, at a ceremony performed at the Methodist parsonage by the Rev. Roy J. Bond in the presence of a group of friends. The rites were solemnized before an improvised altar flanked by lighted candles. Bowls of white narcissi completed the decorations. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L.H. Tondee, well- known citizens of Schley county. She was graduated by Schley county high school in 1939 and worked in Americus before being employed by Western Union, Columbus, where she is now working. An attractive brunette, she wore a light blue suit with navy accessories. Sgt. Thornrose is the son of Mr. and Mrs. R.L. Perry, of Groveland, Fla. The couple left for a trip to Florida before returning to Columbus where they will reside.
