The Schley County News  Nov. 23, 1906
TURPIN--WEAVER Ellaville was visited on last Saturday night
with a surprise as well as a somewhat romantic marriage,
the contracting parties being Miss Nell Turpin and Mr.
Harvey Weaver of Americus.  The young couple leaving their
home at Americus about 10 o'clock, reaching Ellaville
something like twelve and immediately after finding the
license man they drove to the home of Rev. R.F. Williamson,
who soon pronounced them man and wife, after which they
returned to Americus where they are now receiving
congratulations from a host of prominent friends.
