MARINE RECRUITER TAKES A BRIDE
The Marine Corps had a new recruit Monday and Sergeant John E. Pilcher, of the 
Atlanta recruiting station, was receiving congratulations from "all hands."  
The new "Marine" is the former Miss Virginia Young, daughter of Mrs. C.D. 
Nicholson, of Lexington, Ga., and an employee of the State Industrial Board.  
Sergeant Pilcher, formerly of Ellaville, has been on duty with the Atlanta 
Marine recruiting office for nearly two years and is completing his fouth year 
with the corps.  They were married in a surprise ceremony Friday--The Atlanta 
Journal.  Sergeant Pilcher is the son of Mr. L.R. Pilcher of Schley county.
