Dupriest came two of the witnesses to said will viz Robert Patton & Stephen Murray; and the will being brought to me for probate by the Executrix, Mrs. Nancy E. Dupriest, who has filed a petition for probate of the same. They the said witnesses depose of the same, that they saw R.M. Dupriest sign & publish the same as his last will and testament, on the day and year then stated as executed by him; that they witnessed the same at his request in his presence, and in presence of each other; that the same was voluntarily executed by him while he was of sound and disposing mind and memory. Georgia Schley County I do solemnly swear that this writing contains the true last will of the within named Robert M. Dupriest, deceased, so far as I know or believe, and that I well and truly execute the same in accordance with the laws of this state. So help me God. Nancy E. Dupriest, of the county of Schley and state of Georgia, being of sound mind and disposing memory and being desirous to settle my worldly affairs while I have strength so to do, do make and publish this my last will and testament hereby revoking all wills made by me at any time heretofore made and first I commit my soul to God and body I desire to be buried in a decent manner and my worldly estate disposed of as follows: 1st----I desire that all of my just debts may be paid out of my effects. 2nd---I desire that my wife Nancy E. Dupriest have all my effects during her natural life or widowhood. 3rd----I desire that if my wife should marry; my effects be equally divided between her & my bodily heirs or her death my effects to be equally divided between my children. I hereby appoint my wife Nancy E. Dupriest, Executrix to my last will and testament, this Jan 30th 1878. R.M. Dupriest (L.S.) Signed, sealed, published and declared by the above named R.M. Stephen Murray (L.S.) Schley County, Ga. (Note: Robert M Dupriest was the son of Green Dupriest and Deborah White. He was born December 8, 1839 in Ga. and married Nancy E. Morris in Taylor County on Sept. 21, 1865. He served as a Sgt. in Co. C, 10th Ga. Inf. CSA. He was the father of six children: William Robert, Martha Elizabeth, Mary Julia, John Jabez and Annie Dupriest. He died August 29, 1880 and is buried in Phillippi Church Cemetery, Schley Co., Ga.)
