LUCY DYESS I, MRS. LUCY DYESS, of Schley County, Georgia, being of sound and disposing mind and memory, make and declare this to be my Last Will and Testament, hereby revoking any and all former wills and codicils executed by me. ITEM I. I direct that all my just debts be paid by my Executrix as soon as practicable after my death. ITEM 2. I give, bequeath and devise to Mrs. Dorothy Dyess $ 50.00 and my library table; to Mrs. Carol Dyess Parks $ 25.00; to Mrs. Connie Dyess Barefield $ 25.00; to Mrs. Z.M. Addy $ 25.00 and my wicker furniture consisting of sofa, table and two chairs. All the rest, residue and remainder of my property of every kind and description and wherever located, whether real, personal or mixed, I give, bequeath and devise in five equal shares as follows: One share to Hugh Morrison or to his heirs if he is not then alive; One share to Ruby Lee Cook or to her heirs if she is not then alive; One share to Cleone Suggs or to her heirs if she is not then alive; One share to Estelle Lipford or to her heirs if she is not then alive; And One share to Doris C. Mitchell or to her heirs if she is not then alive. ITEM 3. I appoint Doris C. Mitchell as Executrix of my will. If Doris C. Mitchell predeceases me, or fails to qualify as my Executrix, or fails or is unable for any reason to complete the administration of my estate, then I appoint Ruby Lee Cook as successor Executrix of my will. My Executrix and the Successor Executrix herein appointed are relieved from giving bond, making any inventory or appraisal of my estate to be filed in the Court of Probate or any other Court or tribunal, and from filing any annual or other returns to any Court or tribunal. ITEM 4 My Executrix and the Successor Executrix herein named shall have complete and unrestricted power and authority to handle, manage and dispose of my property as they, in their discretion may deem wise and proper, it being my intention that they shall have as much power and authority over my property after my death as I would have were I in life, and, without limiting the generality of the foregoing, they may, without any Order of any Court or tribunal, sell, exchange or otherwise dispose of any property held or acquired by then as part of my estate, at public or private sale, for cash or on terms, without advertisement, including the right to lease any of my property notwithstanding the period of administration of my estate; invest funds of my estate according to their best judgement without being limited to legal investments; compromise demands in favor of or against my estate, borrow money for and on behalf of my estate and to that end to pledge, mortgage, or otherwise convey any of the property of my estate as security for such mortgage and execute and deliver any instrument appropriate thereto.
