Hill filed in office April 26th 1923. Ellaville, Ga., July 18th 1916. Being perfectly sane, truly and understandingly conscious of what I want to do and am doing,, I do this the 18th day of July 1916, First appoint my dear Wife, Lucy the sole executrix of my entire estate exempting her from giving bond or making any return whatever of my estate; Second; for the love and affection I have for her and for the unerring fidelity and unquestioned devotion that she has shown me during our entire life Companionship, I do will, give and bequeath to her my Wife Lucy, all of my entire estate during the remainder of her life to be used solely by her and her support, her comfort & her pleasure; Third I do Will at her death; that a sufficient amount of my estate be applied to defray the expenses of giving her a decent & Christian like burial. Fourth, should there be any of my estate left after Carrying out the above Mentioned requests, I do Will that which is left of my estate be equally divided among my heirs, namely Mrs. Katie Turner, Mrs. Nannie Gardner, Mrs. Mattie McMahand, & Mrs. Carrie Hill, Mr. George, Chapel, Hinton, & Gordon Hill each to share alike. PZ Hill (Preserved Hill) was born 12/11/1844 in Macon or Marion County GA (county lines kept changing), and was the 9th child of Archibald & Samantha Hill. He was listed on the Muster Roll of Company B, 64th Regiment Georgia Volunteer Infantry, Army of Northern Virginia CSA, Bibb County Georgia. He was wounded in the left leg and permanently disabled at Petersburg Virginia.
