I Stephen Murray of said State and County, being of sound mind & memory, do make this my last Will and Testament. Item 1 I desire that at my death, my body be buried in decent & Christian like manner, suitable to my circumstances in life. Item 2 I desire then that all my just debts be paid and of either money on hand or from my other property. Item 3 I give & bequeath to my wife Harriett A. Murray, all my lands, consisting of three hundred & fifty acres lying & being in the 3rd Dist of said State & County, also all of my personal property consisting of mules, cattle, hogs, tools, household & kitchen furniture, provisions & all other goods and chattles of which I am now or may be possessed, free from all charge or limitation whatsoever to her own proper use, benefit & behoof during her natural life or widowhood and at her the said Harriett A. Murray’s death, I desire that my Executor hereinafter named, Sell or cause to be sold all of my property & make an equal division among my children hereafter mentioned vis: J.L. Murray, J.T. Murray, P.A. Murray, Joe Murray, R.L. Murray, W.D. Murray, Martha Etheridge, S.B. Collins & my granddaughter Dony Collins. Each & all to share alike. Item 4 I desire & direct further, that should my wife Harriett A. Murray, marry again after my death, that immediately, or as soon as practicable, after such marriage that all of my said property be sold at public sale and be divided equally among the said Harriett A. Murray & my children & grandchild heretofore mentioned. She the said Harriett A. Murray, & each child, having an equal share. She the said Harriett A. Murray relinquishing by marriage all claim as set forth in Item 3rd. Item 5 I further desire and direct that in either instance as set forth in Item 3rd or 4th, that my two youngest sons, R.L. & W.D. Murray, be paid the sum of one hundred dollars each, on becoming twenty-one years of age and in case my property in either instance mentioned in Item 3rd or 4th be sold, that they each, the said R.L. & W.D. Murray be paid the above sum, before any general division be made. Item 6 I hereby appoint my wife Harriett A. Murray & my son J.L. Murray, Executrix & Executor of this my last Will and Testament.
