This company was successively designated as 1st Company D,
2nd Company B, and 3rd Company K.

Arnett, George W. -- Enlisted as a private in Company D, 2nd
Battalion Georgia Cavalry November 23, 1861. Transferred to
Company D, 25th Regiment Georgia Infantry March 8, 1862.
Died of typhoid fever at Wilmington, North Carolina January
1, 1863.

Arnett, Joseph J. -- Enlisted as a private in Company I, 5th
Regiment Georgia State Troops October 7, 1861. Mustered out
April 1862. Enlisted as a private in 1st Company D, 25th
Regiment Georgia Infantry April 26, 1862. Appointed
Sergeant. Captured at Nashville, Tennessee December 17,
1864. Appears on roll of prisoners of war at Camp Douglas,
Illinois, who applied in February 1865, for permission to
take oath of allegiance to U. S. Government, the following
remarks appearing on said roll relative to him: "Claims to
have been loyal - enlisted through false representations.
Was captured and desires to take oath of allegiance to U. S.
Government and become a loyal citizen." Released May 18,
1865.

Barbour, Joseph H. -- 2nd Lieutenant - August 8, 1861.
Retired May 11, 1862. Enlisted in Augusta, Georgia Arsenal
Battalion May 1862. Transferred to Company D, Anderson's
Battery Georgia Artillery November 1862. Captured at Fort
McAllister, Georgia December 15, 1864. Released at Fort
Delaware, Delaware June 5, 1865. (Born in Screven County,
