She was 62. Mrs. Smith was a native of Seminole County and had lived there for most of her life. She was a member of Salem-Seminole Baptist Church and was a retired telephone operator and was a licensed practical nurse. She is survived by one daughter, Donava Smith Collins of Laurel, Miss.; two brothers, Bartow Faircloth of Brinson and Marshall Faircloth of Llyod, Fla.; Seven sisters, Gwen Heller of Pace, Fla.; Sue Preston, of Milton, Fla., Etta Tucker of Pensacola, Fla., Judy Wood of Brinson, Sabra Childress of Donalsonville, Charlotte Phillips of Blakely and Kathryn Smith of Donalsonville; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Services were held on March 16, 1992, at the Salem-Seminole Baptist Church with the Reverend Tim Martin and Ronnie McLain officiating. Burial followed in the Salem-Seminole Cemetery. Pallbearers were David Hunt, Calvin Hunt, Lamont Smith, Jennifer Smith, Jeff Childress and Dr. Robert Armstrong. Honorary pallbearers were nephews of Mrs. Smith and telephone personal. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home of Donalsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
