Mr. Atkinson had been sick for only one day. He suffered from an acute attack of bowel obstruction and was taken to the hospital where he was given best skill and attention by doctors and nurses, but he passed out before and operation could be made. He was twenty years old, and popular among his friends, with a very bright promise for success in life. Mack is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. A. Atkinson; five brothers, two sisters, his grandmother, Mrs. L. P. Atkinson, and grand parents, Mr. and Mrs. Mack Adom. (Odom?) Mack had a kind and friendly disposition and made friends easily with all with whom he came in contact. He was industrious and a favorite of his family. He was laid to rest in the Salem Church Cemetery in Seminole County by a large concourse of sorrowing friends and relatives; the funeral services being conducted by Rev. Griffith, of Bainbridge, and E. W. Cox Funeral Home was in charge of the burial. May God's richest blessing be upon his loved ones, and they be consoled with the thought that God knows best and always cares for His children. A Friend.
