Prominent South Georgia Physician Practiced Medicine for 50 years. Dr. Thomas Chason, former state senator and widely known physician died Monday, November 24th at his home in Donalsonville, after an illness of 13 weeks. Dr. Chason had practiced medicine in Donalsonville for the past 50 years. News of the death of Dr. Chason has been received with sadness throughout the state, particularly in various parts of south Georgia and north Florida where he has been so widely and prominently known. He has visited here in Bainbridge and other parts in this section on many occasions and he has many warm friends here who join with scores of other friends in mourning his passing. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Eleanor Adams Chason, one brother, Dr. Gordon Chason of this city, two sisters; Mrs. James Reynolds of Donalsonville, and Mrs. Mary Oliver of Avon Park, Fla.
