John C. Earnest, 77, of Donalsonville, died Monday at a local hospital after a 
lengthy illness.  A retired farmer, he was a native of Seminole County and a 
member of the Salem Missionary Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Salem Missionary baptist 
church, with internment in Salem Cemetery.  Evans Funeral Home of Donalsonville 
is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Juanita Alday and Mrs. Eddie Chance of 
Donalsonville, Mrs. Grover matthews of Macon, Mrs. Floyd Helms of Lizella, Ga., 
and Mrs. A.J. Bridewell of Doerun; four sons, Clyde Earnest and J.C. Earnest 
Jr. of Donalsonville, and Claude Earnest and Hubert Earnest of Macon; and 26 
grandchildren.
