G. Loyless announces the marriage of her daughter, Myrvis Carolyn Lawrence, to E. C. Bridges, Jr. Sunday, May 26. Of wide interest throughout this section is the announcement today of the marriage of Miss Myrvis Carolyn Lawrence, of Blakely, to Mr. E. C. Bridges, Jr., of Donalsonville, which occurred in the latter city Sunday, May 26, with Judge G. B. Garwood performing the ceremony. Mrs. Bridges is the only daughter of Mrs. J. G. Loyless, of Blakely, and the late Mr. E. G. Lawrence. Her brother is Mr. W. F. Lawrence. She attended school in Blakely, where she was graduated with the class of 1933, and entered school at Shorter, which she attended for two years. She received her Degree at the University of Georgia, being a member of the June graduating class of 1939. She was reared in Blakely, where she has many friends who will be interested in this announcement. Mr. Bridges is the son of Dr. and Mrs. E. C. Bridges, of Donalsonville. He is one of Seminole county's enterprising young farmers. The couple are making their home for the present with Mr. Bridge's parents near Donalsonville. Myrvis Bridges Myrvis Lawrence Bridges, 81, of Donalsonville, Ga., died Tuesday, March 31, 1998, at Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan, Ala. Mrs. Bridges was a retired school teacher, a graduate of the University of Georgia, with a bachelor's degree and master's degree in education. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. Mrs. Bridges was the daughter of the late Earnest Lawrence and the late Beulah Craft Lawrence. Mrs. Bridges is survived by one son, E. C. Bridges, III of Donalsonville; one daughter, Linda Bridges Young of Donalsonville; one brother, Bill Lawrence of Atlanta; and four grandchildren, David Young of Los Angeles, Calif., Tracy Fields of Acworth, Ga., Rusty Young and Danny Young of Gainesville, Ga. Graveside services were Wednesday, April 1, 1998, at Friendship Memorial Gardens, at 4 P. M., with the Rev. Luther Hastey and the rev. Tommy Dobbins officiating. Jeff Godrey, Craig Pierce, Jesse McLeod, Dave Roberts, Bill Etheridge and Brian Burke served as pallbearers. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
