Donalsonville, Seminole Co., GA Aged Citizen Dies Early Wednesday Mr. N. R. Barber Passes Away At Home Of Daughter Here. Friends and relatives were grieved to learn of the death of Mr. N. R. Barber, aged Seminole countian, who passed away Wednesday morning at 6 o'clock at the home of his daughter, Mrs. R. T. Bolton, of Donalsonville. He had been confined to his bed for several weeks and his condition was considered serious for the past several days. Relatives were summoned to his bedside and all were present when the end came. He was 74 years old. Mr. Barber was born and reared in Southwest Georgia, he having resided near Donalsonville since early youth where he was engaged in farming. In 1881 he was united in marriage with Miss Francis Johnson, who preceded home to the grave two years ago. He was known throughout Seminole county for his many acts of kindness, he always being ready to lend a helping hand to those in distress. Many expressions have been made since his passing that none could say aught against him. He was loved and highly respected by all who knew him. He was a member of the Free Will Baptist Church. The Funeral services were held at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. R. T. Bolton, Thursday Morning at 10 o'clock, Rev. R. L. Whitehead conducting the service. Interment followed at the local cemetery. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. R. T. Bolton, and Miss Ollie Barber, of Donalsonville; four sons Messrs. Berry, Lon and Ab Barber of Donalsonville and Mr. Byron Barber, of Alabama; four sisters, Mrs. E. B. Lynn, Mrs. Betty Robinson, Mrs. Emma Robinson, of Donalsonville and Mrs. Fannie Lynn, of Tampa; and two brothers, O. W. Barber, of Donalsonville and W. J. Barber of Blakely.
