Thursday, March 28, 1929. Death of Mr. John I. Spooner Bainbridge friends of Mr. John I. Spooner of Seminole County will learn with regret of his death at his home near Donalsonville last Wednesday after a long illness. Mr. Spooner had many acquantances in this city that knew him well and loved him. He was the father of Judge H.B. Spooner and visited here often. He was buried in the family burial grounds Thursday afternoon. Bearden & Cox Funeral Directors were in charge. Mr. Spooner left three sons and five daughters. Judge H.B. Spooner of Bainbridge, Dr. J.I. Spooner of Donalsonville, and R.F. Spooner of Donalsonville; Mesdames Callie Odum and Ida Butler of Donalsonville, B.B. Earle of Thomasville, H.T. Bell and Pearl Lester of Atlanta. He had four sisters, Mesdames Trudie Ingram, Emma Strickland, Miss Ella Spooner and Mrs. Mandy Butler of Quincy, Fla. Mr. Spooner was one of the pioneers of this section and a most useful man.
