Fairfield County, SC Will Book 1, p. 30:

Hester Dukes, Anne Dukes & Jesse Dukes, orphans, appeared in
court on the 12th instant and chose John Wilson and Richard
Taylor their guardians.  Letters of Guardianship dated 13
May 1789.
