James P. Cooper These are the ministry records of my great-grandfather Rev. James P. Cooper who was born March 31, 1873 in Meriwether County, Georgia. He later lived in Coweta County, Georgia. In 1902 he was called to the pastorate at Spalding Mills Baptist in Spalding County, Georgia. He later served Oak Hill, Tirzah and Devalie Baptist in Spalding County. These records include marriages, funerals and baptisms performed by Rev. Cooper during the years 1902 - 1906. In Oct. 1906 Rev. Cooper began serving a church in Athens, Georgia and remained in Clarke County until his death in 1932.
