Witnesseth that the said Thomas Ellis for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred dollars to him in hand paid by the said Randolph Ellis at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath bargained sold and conveyed and doth be these presents grant bargain sell and convey unto the said Randolph Ellis his heirs & assigns all that tract or parcel of land known and distinguished by lot no. (101) one hundred and one in the third district of originally Henry now Spalding County it being ten acres on the south west corner of said lot bounded by Short Step Creek on the east being the line between said land and Wm S. Heronton it being ten acres more or less to have and to hold said described parcel of land with all and singular to the said Radford Ellis his heirs and assigns together with all the rights members and appurtenances to the same or in any manner belonging to his and their own proper use benefit and behoof forever in fee simple and the said Thomas J. Ellis for himself his heirs executors & administrators the said bargained premises together with the right title & possession thereof unto the said Radford Ellis his heirs I will warrant and forever defend the right and title thereof against the themselves and against the claim of all other persons whatsoever In testimony whereof the said Thomas Ellis hath hereby set his hand and affixed his seal the date and year above written.
