Searcy, Jr. Griffin, April 14. - Twenty-one Spalding county men made the supreme sacrifice in the world war, according to the records of Mrs. W.E.H. Searcy, Jr., chairman of the woman's committee of the Council of National Defense here. The list was almost doubled by Mrs. Searcy's canvas of the county, just completed. Those who died in the service for various causes were: Joe Milton Farley Henry C. Griffin Edward Hammond Corp. Jeff Bethea Walter Heard George W. Knight James M. Farley Daniel G. Norton Lieut.
