March 30, 1903 Orchard Hill, Ga., March 28--Mary Dewberry was run over by the fast train here this evening about 6:30 and was mashed to death. At first it was thought the killing was accidental, but now there is a supposition that it may have been premeditated on her part. She was working in a field and started over the track toward her home in front of the train. While in the middle of the track she appeared to hesitate a second and was quickly under the wheels. Members of her family say the woman had been despondent for some time and that she has frequently attempted to commit suicide. An inquest will be held tomorrow morning.
