BOWERS We regret to note the death of D.H. Bowers on the 11th inst. He had been sick over a year with Bright's disease. Doncy Hamilton Bowers was born Dec. 20, 1855 and had lived here all his life except a few years in Spalding and Fayette counties. He was a valuable citizen and numbered his friends by the score. He was a Master Mason. He leaves a devoted wife, two children, W.E. Bowers and Mrs. Ida Stamps; one brother and two sisters, W.L. Bowers of Spalding county and Mrs. N.J. Adcock and Mrs. L.P. Vollenwieder of this place. The funeral was conducted at the Elmore cemetery by Rev. L.L. Landrum of Turin, where the remains were laid to rest. Six of his neighbors acted as pallbearers, W.C. Vollenweider, E.C. Adcock, J.T. Stamps, J.R. Arnold, W.D. Adcock and J.D. Adcock.
