She is survived by one brother, F.P. Cornwell, of Griffin; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral were held at the grave at Oak Hill cemetery Thursday morning at 11 o’clock, conducted by Dr. J.F. Yarbrough, and Rev. H.T. Smith, F.S. Pittman, funeral directors. MISS BETTY SMARR DIES AT HOME AT SUNNY SIDE Miss Betty Smarr, age eighty-four years, died at her home near Sunny Side Friday morning. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Baptist church in Sunny Side conducted by Rev. J. Edwin Hemphill, her nephew, assisted by Rev. J. Marion Stafford. Interment will be made in the Sunny Side cemetery, F.S. Pittman, funeral director. SAMUEL H. RUMPH DIES AT MARSHALVILLE HOME Originator of the Peach Industry in Middle Georgia Passes Away Following Stroke Thursday. MARSHALVILLE, Ga., Dec. 22. - Samuel H. Rumph, seventy years of age, known in this section as the father and originator of the peach industry, died at his home here this morning. He suffered a stroke early yesterday. He was the propagator of the famous Elberta and Georgia Belle peaches. He shipped the first crate of peaches out of Georgia. From the shipping of the first crate by Rumph Fruit Company, the industry began to grow and now is Middle Georgia in second to cotton in importance. JUDGE MARTIN COLLINS DIES. CARTERSVILLE, Ga., Dec. 22. - Judge Martin Collins, 87, one time postmaster of Cartersville, died here Wednesday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. J.W.
