Griffin, Ga., August 7- Our community was very much pained to learn of the death of young Byrd Ellis, which occurred at Birmingham Saturday last, caused by the accidental upsetting of a kerosene lamp about two months since, by which he was most ferociously burned. Byrd had accompanied his father to Birmingham, who was engaged as contractor of a railroad in that vicinity. The unfortunate young man was between sixteen and seventeen years of age and gave great promise of making himself useful had he been spared, as he was quick and sprightly and very engaging in manner. His remains were brought here to-day for interment.
