Zebulon, Pike County, Georgia, August 7, 1908 Col T.W. Flynt Dies Col. Tilman Willis Flynt died at his home in Griffin Saturday from injuries received in a fall about three weeks ago. He was a brave confederate soldier, having promoted to be colonel of the 19th Ga. Regiment after the Battle of Antieltom [Antietam ?]. He was a highly esteemed citizen of his county. He is survived by his wife and seven children, Hon. Frank Flynt, Mrs. J.H. Clark, Paul Flynt, Hon. J.J. Flynt, E.M. Flynt, of Griffin, Mrs. J.P. Newman, of Macon, and Mrs. J.R. Cole, of Fort Worth, Texas. He was buried Sunday in Griffin. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. John S. Jenkins.
